Hello, I am Bonny

Growing up on a farm in the Eastern Cape, I had a simple, nature based childhood, which continues in my love for living on the mountains in Clovelly, Cape Town. Quiet spaces, artistic expression, daily practices of ocean swimming and mountain walks, keep me happy and grounded in my life and work.

Swimming in the cool waters of False Bay almost daily isn't just about physical exercise for me; it's a profound practice for building mental strength—where my body helps strengthen my mind. It brings me fully into the present moment, where I notice the water's softness, the quality of light, and the sensations on my skin. It's a playful, present experience—a surrender to the elements that puts a smile on my face.

Mountain walks, even just easy strolls give me a chance to unwind, notice the colours, textures and details around me. Breathe fresh air, relax and think deeply - good for both the body and mind.

I've worn many hats in my prior career as a graphic designer, art director, and illustrator. Now that I am a wife and mother of two, I divide my time more consciously between my family and my work. As we experience all of life, it tempers us towards what comes next, and that has led me to this work of Art and Coaching. I am slowly fulfilling my dream of playing a supportive and transformative role in the world through this practice.

In my everyday life, I cultivate my happy space by...

Nurturing my two beautiful children and relishing every cuddle.

Teaming up with my husband to build our dream life on ‘our’ mountain.

Swimming year-round (there's nothing like the sea in the rain).

Taking walks in our mountains, marveling at the textures and vibrant colors of fynbos.

Losing myself in the soothing feel and delicate hues of watercolors.

Practicing meditation to center myself.

Playing with clay, letting my creativity flow.

Sewing, crafting, and creating with materials.

Devouring books and exploring what it means to be human.

Delving into garden landscapes and growing our own food.

Always dreaming and planning tree houses and tiny cabins.
